Surprise! New Series!

Okay, last new series for a while. I had the idea, so, I went and did it. Thus why no updates, or new RKI Radio Theatres. I'd like to differentiate it from the others somehow, so, later episodes might be retooled, but for now, think of it like a spin off of Rantin' & Raven. (Only fair, since Rantin' & Raven is a spin off from the Writing in Geek Blog!)

I just had this thought about Dr. Doom, and I haven't posted on the blog in a while. So, since I've got the youtube thing going, I thought "Hey! Let's just toss up a new series!"

New R&R as well as the premier of Collecting Game!

And, as announced in said video (and on here forever and a half ago!), Collecting Game!

It feels so good for an idea to finally come to fruition!

There will, of course, not be an accompanying Collecting Game video for FFVII. You'll have to wait for the next series after. (What, you don't think I have these all planned out?) Every other series, so the game after this upcoming one, you can eagerly anticipate the Collecting Game video to return. Until then, I hope it helps you find a copy that you're looking for!

Quiet, Please arrives on RKI Radio Theatre!

Easily one of the best series that old time radio dramas have to offer. And the last of the four initial offerings from RKI Radio Theatre! Be sure to stick around for more of your favorite, and feel free to check out the other three shows in the meantime! (As well as RKI's other offerings!) The second set of radio shows will premier after the conclusion of these.

And if you were curious, yes, another Rantin' & Raven will follow the fourth series premier on RKI Radio Theatre. With some more gaming goodness to follow! As for Game Knight... I'm currently hard at work on the scripts, with seven episodes done so far. (of an as yet unknown amount, as I'm having to cut episodes in half due to length.) I may begin filming them shortly to catch up while I continue writing the rest of the series.

Introducing Rantin' & Raven!

Premiering the new opinion show over on the RKI Channel! Just a quick intro to the whole thing before we get into better topics. (But then, you dear readers of the blog already know about it!)

Youtube FFVII Update

Hoooo boy! Seems to be taking forever, doesn't it? But I figured it's about time for another update.

For the record, no, the previous sneak peak was not an April Fools joke. Game Knight Series 2 will be none other than Final Fantasy VII! That should give you some idea of what's taking so long. There were a few setbacks, but things are progressing. In the next week, Gameplay filming will be complete. I've got a few more things to collect, Two weapons to kill and a Final Boss to take down. But to give you some idea... Chocobo Breeding alone... was an entire session... I spent my night breeding Chocobos. Six Hours Of Breeding, Racing and Resetting. Six. Hours. Don't worry, there's a TON of editing to come so you wont be sitting through it all. I suffer so you don't have to!

I'm still trying to decide the length of the episodes and how much to cut down. I want to represent the game as much as possible, while cutting it down so that you folks aren't sitting through hours of wandering and random battles. Currently, the set up I had in mind wont work as that would end up being 18+ episodes of 2+ hours a piece. That just wont fly. So, these will be heavily edited down. Though the episodes will likely be longer than the first series. I've already recorded about 40+ hours of footage, compared to Mega Man X which can be beaten in under 2 hours. (This is one of the setbacks as I have to keep clearing my camera's card off.)

After Recording is complete, I'll work more heavily on the scripts. Of which, I'm expecting controversy. Because, as one knows, FFVII must be 100% exact as presented originally, with any change a heresy. So, I'm looking forward to the reaction! Can one gain negative viewers? We'll see!

I am considering beginning to post the other series in the meanwhile. I had wanted to wait till I had them all together, but obviously, it's taking longer than expected. I'll probably finish Gameplay filming, then start posting Rantin & Raven, Collecting Game, and RKI Radio Theatre as I work on the scripts and film them.
